RIOH invites you to tour the homes of Joy Macaoay and Kimberly Bartlett. These Union Beach homes showcase the great work Room In Our Hearts provides their clients. RIOH was emotionally moved by the stories of these amazing women and was thrilled to create a space where they can call home and begin the healing process.

Please show your support for RIOH and celebrate these beautiful new homes while enjoying homemade chili, assorted cheeses and a glass of wine! You’ll also be able to purchase original RIOH pieces of furniture and home décor that will be displayed throughout the house.

By using recycled, repurposed and refashioned pieces of furniture and home décor, RIOH creates unique and beautiful spaces at no cost to the homeowners. Joy’s original house was so severely damaged by Superstorm Sandy that it had to be demolished. It took over three years of patience and perseverance on her part to secure funds to rebuild. Joy’s sister Kim is a widow and mother of four children. Her youngest daughter was just seven years old when Sandy destroyed their family’s home. Kim faced the agonizing decision of separating her children from each other as they struggled to find temporary housing in the months and years after the storm. Finally, after three long years, Kim and her family have a place to call home and a beautifully furnished and decorated living room where they can spend time together.
